Billy Glidden & Brad Brand Take Street Car Super Nationals by Storm

The 2011 Street Car Super Nationals VII will go down in the record books as a year of “Mustang madness” on Mickey Thompson tires.

Brad Brand arrived on the scene with his Atlanta Chassis Dyno “Triple B” Mustang and achieved the world’s first five-second runs on Mickey Thompson 3169W ET Drag tires earning him a new world record and a $1,500 bonus from Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels. Brand went on to win his first two elimination rounds following qualifying rounds in the Pro Street class.

Billy Glidden returned to the popular venue this year with a new drivetrain and the original engine configuration he’s used in traditionally in Outlaw 10.5 class competition. Glidden went on to win in the Outlaw 10.5 Class on Mickey Thompson 3169W ET Drag tires and Pro-5 Drag Wheels.

“What a great event for these competitors on our 3169W ET Drag tires,” stated Carl Robinson, Motorsports Manager, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels. “The win for Billy and Shannon, and the record for Brad made this one of the most memorable events of the year and an incredible way to end the season. Congratulations to both of these winning teams.”
