Bridgestone Launches Next Generation Turanza Serenity Tire

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC (BATO) today presented the next generation of its popular Bridgestone Turanza Serenity and Firestone Destination products at an event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus includes all the same benefits consumers have come to expect from Serenity – a quiet ride, wet performance, long tread life and ride comfort – with the added benefits of improved winter performance and fuel efficiency. Additionally, all Turanza Serenity Plus products come with increased limited treadwear warranty – the V-rated with a segment-leading 75,000 mile limited tread warranty (this is an improvement of 25,000 miles from its predecessor). Turanza Serenity Plus will be available in 30 sizes – H-, V- and W-rated – from 15” to 19” rim diameter staring in June.

The Firestone Destination LE2 is the next generation of BATO’s best selling line of products. Virtually all aspects of this popular product made for CUV, SUV and light truck applications have been improved upon, including dry performance, ride comfort and noise and fuel efficiency. In fact, the Destination LE2 offers a 15 percent improvement in RRC (Rolling Resistance Coefficient), which translates to up to 2 percent in fuel economy improvement over its predecessor product. Destination LE2 will be available in 37 sizes – T- and H-rated – from 15” to 20” rim diameter starting in May. “We’re always working to make our products even better for our customers, and we’re excited to bring these next generation tires to market,” said Larry Magee, President, Consumer Tire U.S. & Canada, BATO. “Both Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus and Firestone Destination LE2 are high demand products for today’s drivers, and we are excited to raise our own bar in providing even more performance as we continue to evolve these brands.”

Both the Turanza Serenity Plus and Destination LE2 have earned the company’s “Eco-Product” distinction, which is reserved to identify Bridgestone- or Firestone-brand tires designed for improved environmental performance over the predecessor product.
